Any thoughts on that? Could the high reading be because of the cold weather?
Hello everyone! Today I've got some readings that got me shocked. First of all, i've been dx'd as T1 this september and I'm currently on honeymoon period, no insulin taken. Either way, my glucose meter is a bayer controur plus one. So i went outside to the Church and came back at about 7:15 PM and wanted to check my blood sugar. I've waited like 5 minutes for my hands to get warmer and also the meter, but it showed me a strange result: 148mg/dl, so I exercised like 15 mins on a stationary bike and waited until 8:00 to check again, but here is when the crazy thing happened. The first reading showed me a **** 51 mg/dl reading so i took my blood sugar again in like 1 min and it showed me 96 mg/dl,that was at like 8:00 PM.Decided to test again before my evening meal at about 8;45 PM, 86mg/dl. I want to note that my carb intake is 60 breakfast-25snack-30lunch-25snack-25dinner and that 148 was 1hour30 post snack, also had my A1c reduced from 14.3% to 5.6, my C-peptide fasting 0.785 and negative GAD antibodies. Any thoughts on that? Could the high reading be because of the cold weather?
