Hi folks,
This has not happened to me as far as I can remember: Before eating and after taking my glyclizide
at a usual 20 min. or so before eating, I am ready to eat with a "good" number -- e.g. 5-6. This time
I did not wait as long so I got a high number - 8. So, I waited another 15 minutes and to my astonishment
the number went up to 8.9.
I could not figure it out as the number should have declined, except that the second test was on my little finger and I had eaten some chocolate
before (bad I know). So, I washed my hands, dried them and callibrated the meter with the red gloop.
The number came to a good 6.6. I conclude that I may have had sugar left on my little finger.
The question is, can sugar left on you finger influence the blood sugar number?
