I'm in no position to comment, I only used creatine before diagnosis. A lot of guys here are in a good position to comment though:

This article is a good read, although there's very little on T1D's and creatine:

Hi @Daniel33, you can, but the first thing I'd look at is your glucose levels. How have they been? For strength retention, you really need to try and stay in the range 4-8. If you are spending a lot of time greater than 10, then that's likely to be a major cause of the issues.

I assume you lost muscle mass prior to your diagnosis. Did you regain that post diagnosis? As someone who gained muscle mass as a T1 when following a very strict routine in the gym and the kitchen, muscle mass loss and strength deterioration aren't things I'd associate with T1D specifically, unless you were having issues as I described.

I have to keep my blood on the higher side Tim am on a pump with the glucose sensor that turns off when I hit my low level which is 6 my target is between 8.5 and 12.5 I'm really sensitive to insulin 1 unit will drop me by 10 also the job I do is really physical am just looking for something to repair my muscles after work with low carbs in that's why I thought of the creatine shakes

@Daniel33 Can I ask why your target range is high? Is this because of hypo unawareness or your job?
