Stress

it can definitely raise it and it can stay raised for some time. it certainly does for me.
 
Stress can raise or lower BG.

Normally stress raises my BG but when my mother died I had loads of hypos. When I asked a DSN about it, she said that stress normally raises BG but severe stress can lower it.
 
Stress will certainly raise my levels, and usually by more than my food. That and illness are the main things that I have issues with, as I can usually manage my meal levels pretty well...
