Hi there I am currently monitoring my BS levels as diagnosed with prediabetes. Been working hard on diet and exercise and have found my levels during the day to be well within the normal range. However prior to holiday my waking levels were around 6.0 - slightly above the normal range. After my hol my waking levels are down to around 5.6. That includes this morning but had a bit of a stressful episode with a UPS collection (won't bore with the details) and so was late eating and late taking my pre-food reading. It had gone up to 6.0. Now I am starting to wonder about the impact of stress. Had stress before my holiday and now again. I'm a teacher and back to work and high stress in just over a week's time. Can anyone tell me if levels around 6 are ok or should I be seeking to manage my stress as much as my glucose? I am already on citalopram due to major family crisis last year.

Hi I'm on Citalopram too, so it will be interesting to see my results when I start testing tomorrow. I've only just been diagnosed as a Type 2 on statins and Metformin. I'm very stressed at the moment
