Anonymous question submitted:

Hi had pancreatic cancer 25 yrs ago had half stomach, duedenom, gall bladder, part pancreas and part bowel removed and given 4yrs to live. After spending years in and out of hospital I had 8hr operation 'cos there were stones in what was left of pancreas, this and my spleen were removed. I have naturally become type 1 diabetic and since the op 3yrs ago I have had so many problems re high sugar, low sugar etc. I have been told I am unique BUT nothing seems to settle down. Is there anyone out there who has had similar surgery? I am now 67 but still want to be involved with the grandchildren and family. At the moment all I want to do is sleep and can stay in bed all day! I hate it as I was always a busy person - even when recovering from the cancer. Help!!

But I can send you a ((hug)) and support and my best wishes that for the future you do get the medical assistance and support you need ..
No spleen is hard as well ...you will be on a of medication ....I guess...
Look after yourself ....amazing that you can share so much , and here you are being positive ....go and enjoy your grandchildren ...but yes you do need an answer to be able to stay awake ...
Afraid this tiredness could be part of the diabetic process and of course it could be anything ...
Please find an answer .....take care ...best wishes...Kat ...
