Hello, I have had T1D for over two years now and have been using Toujeo in place of Lantus for about 9 months. The dose I thought was right was 11 units, but I have come to realise that I am often having to snack once the 4 hours of bolus wears off. I was also dropping about 4mmol overnight so needed to snack before bed to avoid night hypos. I decided to try dropping from 11 units to 10 and after 3 days I have steadied to a 10mmol fasting base rate, which I know is too high but I feel so much more in control with it being balanced and steady. (I had a no carb breakfast today and was still at 10mmol at 1pm) I know 10mmol is too high as a fasting bsg but do not want to go back to constantly having to snack to avoid lows. Really don't know what to do and would be grateful for any advice.
