Hi there and the whole pregnancy with type 1 thing is scary so am sending a hug. I have done it 3 times and each time was different but definitely had some bad spikes in the early days as well as lows due to being terrified of the highs. The stress of being pregnant after miscarriages and also caring for a young child could be makign all the insulin resistance worse so do see if you can manage that aspect in some way. This is much easier said than done but do try and get some time out to relax. Once you have ruled out having a UTI then it could just be that you do have a lot of insulin resistance in which case can you ask your dsn about taking metformin in pregnancy? If this isn't allowed then minimising carbohydrates from starches whilst continuing to eat adequate protein, fats and green leafy veg plus berries may be the only option. I mention the metformin because I've been type 1 for many years and have been offered it though not whilst pregnant. I hope you start to feel back in control soon and get the help you need at this key time in your pregnancy.
