Can I ask what sort of insulin regime you are on and what your diabetic team are doing to help you to get your numbers under control?
)I must admit in some ways it is easier to adjust when you get a T1 diagnosis as a child, (age 8 in my case) but there are plenty of 50 something adults iin your situation on these forums.
Hopefully we can give you some help, even if it is only moral support.
Do you have a Libre or Dexcom, and if so are you checking your levels with a finger prick test, as CGM's don't read accurately at the levels you're describing.
Welcome and sorry you are struggling @Katrina#1 . I imagine as well as worrying you are feeling below par physically too.
We aren't allowed to give dosing advice but if you share your general routine we might have some insights to share given all type 1s struggle occasionally but especially at the beginning.
Getting the basal (Toujeo) dose right is key then you can think about how much you need for typical meals when it comes to Bolus (Novorapid /Humalog etc.).
Maybe you were okay on a lower dose initially but now its time to up that dose with a nurse or doctor's help.
Or did you just mean its just too much i.e. you know this stuff but can't motivate yourself to change anything?
Or a bit of both?!
Either way there's time to sort this out with help but its a shame if diabetes is making you feel ill and taking up too much space in your head so let us know what you think the issues are!
