Hi EllieMHi @mazza 2 , there are a number of articles that come up
eg
Artificial sweetener erythritol linked to heart attacks and strokes
Lab experiments show a popular sweetener can prompt clot formation in human blood, while research also links the product with a raised risk of heart attack and strokewww.newscientist.com
Do you mean that one?
That would be great. Thanks EllieM.OK the CNN one is here
Zero-calorie sweetener linked to heart attack, stroke, study finds
A sugar replacement used in many stevia, monk-fruit, keto and other reduced-sugar products marketed for weight loss and diabetes has been linked to stroke, heart attack and early death, a new study found.edition.cnn.com
Would you like me (or another moderator) to change the title of your thread to be more descriptive
eg
Study links artificial sweetener erythritol to possible increased risk of heart disease
Also on CBSThat would be great. Thanks EllieM.
Sadly erythritol is often used to bulk or sweeten the stevia sweeteners.Oh no. I’m going to have to switch to stevia or monk fruit as the only “safe”ones left - waits til someone posts links to these being bad too. In reality I’m just going to use ito try and wean myself off all of them other than the odd bit of keto baking I do
I see what they mean about keto icecream30 grams is about 8 teaspoons of Erythritol. That would be an insane amount to consume.
