i had an ECG tuesday after seeing dr last week
she said my heart attack marker was fines as were all other bloods
called dr yesterday for ECG results and the nurse that called said it was fine so i questioned irregularities that i was told about at the hospital, she got up my notes and said they suspect MI so i asked what that was and she said heart attack and that she would get dr to call and discuss
i dont think it was heart attack as the tropinin (or what ever it is would have been raised)
i called drs late yesterday and asked if i was getting a call and there was no note of it so i explained what happened and i should be having a call today
anxiety has been through the roof and somehow ive pulled a dam muscle in my chesti know its a lulled muscle because it hurts when i move
ive had many visits to A/e with chest pains and shortness of breath to be told all tests are fine and that its anxietyHi. I am sure you are totally stressed by all of this. I just wanted to say...not that I am wanting to underestimate or understate the significance of things here...just to give you some space for less stress...a nurse saying myocardial infarction is suspected is not quite the same thing as a doctor telling you that you actually have had one. If all the bloods you mentioned earlier were described as fine...including the troponin test...I suspect they are simply looking to eliminate certain things and/or maybe consider appropriate medication...and there appears to be no rush on setting up a follow up appointment. Still - I am far from being expert in such matters and you have to always err on the side of caution. I had tests years ago for a suspected MI (being rushed to hospital following severe chest pain, lack of breath, dizziness etc..and then BP to low for the para medic to detect. They found nothing. It had been an gone and let no detectable trace. A mystery - nothing since. Anyway, I hope you learn much more from the call when it comes..and are to some extent reassured. One thing though - be sure to mention the chest pain (muscle or not) to the doctor when he/she calls. Good luck. Keep us posted.
been referred to heart clinic for tests, scan and stress test
put on 75mg aspirin daily
given stuff to help with smoking also been started on yet more antidepressants
this was the first time ever the dr showed sympathy when i broke down
blood pressure was fine as that was a concern as was quite high when in hospital
i was doing ok and not being so worried as i was until the letter came through today i have an appointment next week at the cardiac centre (18th)I hope it all eases off for you...at least enough to allow you to put it to the back of your mind (well...further back anyway).

i know what your saying but worry is my middle name lately, i guess its with family history of heart troubles being diabetic and a smoker (ive got gum and inhalor thing and just getting nowhere fast with it)No point worrying - which you know - I know it sounds a bit patronising to say but..someone once told me - if you're worried about something you can do nothing about, you need to recognise that worrying won't help anything but will add to stress...likewise, if you are worried about something you can do something about then stop worrying and start doing..either way, worry achieves nothing. It is all about state of mind. The best thing to aim at is being excited that you are going to find out what's going on. At least, just resign to having more info next week than you do now..worry then if you have to but I hope you get positive news. Watch some **** on TV ! Good luck.

xxxxI had a heart attack 4 years ago when I was 46, it was a strange day..... I was looking after my 6 week old Granddaughter Belle, sitting on a chair whilst gently rocking her in the pram. I turned to my hubby and said ‘my arm feels really strange’, his response was ‘well stop doing that’, as i was rocking her with my left arm. An hour later Belle had gone back to mummy, and I thought, grrrrr I have indigestion, it then dawned on me that I hadn’t eaten all day so how could I have indigestion..... Saturday, no Dr’s about so I called 111, they then sent paramedics, ECG had ‘bunny ears’ lol so they took me into hospital to be on the safe side.
2 hours later, I was told I’d had an MI, didn’t have a clue what that was, so was told it was a heart attack, Troponin was through the roof, yet I felt fine, I had a stent fitted the following day and was home by the fourth day.....
Moral is lol .... quit smoking now licklemouse while you still have a choice... I was made to stop and it made me so angry, it was my only vice and I was my own enemy
As for stress and anxiety I understand exactly what your going through, I’m not an ex anti smoking Hitler lol but Many smokers do not realise how cigarettes actually cause anxiety and stress. Have a little think on your reaction when you ‘need’ a smoke and tell me different
