Well I had a rough night but did manage about 4 hours or something and during that time I vaguely remember dreaming about having problems with getting a test strip in to test my blood sugar. Some weird dream but I woke up thinking stupid test strip.... then test my sugar and it's 9.6 which is my highest morning number in a while. So there's a couple of things that may have caused that... my bad pain night, or when I was dreaming of test strips I may have been having a hypo or about to and my body was trying to warn me. I don't feel too good anyhow this morning. This has happened to me before though where I was dreaming about eating and I suddenly woke up having a hypo. Is this something some of you experience as well? (the dreaming about something to do with diabetes I mean)

I once dreamt I lived in the middle of a pizza!

Fluctuating blood glucose levels play havoc with your subconscious in sleep.

There is a thread on the RH forum about some of mine!

that's interesting.

Yes I have no doubt it does.

I'm about to get my diabetic tests done next week so hopefully the hbA1c will give some indication what's going on.

I often feel awful in the mornings if I've hypo'd. But I'm also on so many meds so I can't tell for sure sometimes because I was asleep.

I really do believe that sleep is so important when your bloods fluctuate up and down.
If you have the vivid memorable experience of dreams and interrupted sleep patterns, you are going to feel awful.

Since being in ketosis and really good control, my dreams are few and not so memorable.

A lot of posters can't express their dream experiences, which is a shame because it's not rare and very interesting.

There is a lot of good information out there and how your dreams are a source of good health and well-being. Without REM sleep, we couldn't cope with every day life!
