So, I checked my BG level in the evening and it was around 250. I thought I should workout to lower it back to normal. I worked out. Then 5 mins after working out I check my sugar level again and it was around 406 :( What the heck is this? Shouldn't working out reduce my sugar level? :(((

Were your hands clean? Did you recheck? Starting higher than 235 can lead to increases in glucose levels, indeed, in the UK, it is not recommended to commence exercise with bloods above the 235 level.

Alternatively, although after five minutes a little unlikely, it could have been a liver dump. If you were doing any sort of anerobic exercise it uses the glycogen in your muscles to provide energy. When this is depleted, the liver converts its stores to glucose, dumps them into the blood and your muscles extract it to provide energy. Now I haven't seen it after five minutes, but it is possible.

No I did not recheck after that. And my hands were clean. Yeah I did not know about that so I just started working out. I am having a lot of BG level rises and falls and I'm sure that its something with the Thyroid glands and I will go for a test tomorrow. My doctor told me to get that test done.
