Although exact levels aren't mentioned, most of use '5 to drive' as the lower limit.

Hi. It is a grey area between 4 and 5. 5 to drive is the safest but if I'm between 4 and 5 I take some carbs e.g. glucose tablets before starting to drive. I wasn't aware of a top limit but I guess 18 is already too high for comfort
