Hi. I'm an insulin dependent diabetic injecting 2 x daily humalog mix 75/25. In bed this morning at 8.00am , I checked my sugar levels. It read 6.7mmol. at 8.45 it read 10.1. I'm wondering how this could be. Any info appreciated. Cheers Kevin.

This sounds like Dawn Phenomenon/Foot on the Floor.
At the start of the day, for some this is early in the morning before they wake and for others it is when they get up, out wonderful helpful livers dump glucose to give us the energy to start the day. Ths happens to most people regardless whether hey have diavetes. But, most people do not notice because their pancreas instantly reacts with a dump on insulin to convert the glucose to energy.
Sadly, we don't have the luxury of a pancreas that can deliver as much insulin as is needed on demand, so our BG rises even though we have done nothing apart from wake up.
