Type 2 Sugars down to near normal, Kets are up?!!

Went to my doctors today and had some blood tests so am awaiting the results, had this tummy ache so stopped taking my meds 3-4 days ago, maybe 5 now, tried just to see if the tummy ache would go, i still had it yesterday so am being sent for a scan. Now, the odd thing is that my sugars are back down to within normal range yet my Kets have gone up and this has bemused all. Any ideas about this please? They asked if i was eating properly and i am, i am not hungry, just removed the majority of carbs like you all said.

So why would my gp and diabetic nurse be concerned and be unsure what is going on like they would know about this surely, I told them about removing the majority of carbs, btw, Thank you Alison x

They don’t know about it, it’s likely they don’t have a clue and think you’re in ketoacidosis which is Not A Good Thing.

It sound to me like you’ve cracked it!
