I am interested to know what people snack on throughout the day. I eat a couple of rhy crisp bread without any spread, fruit, plain biscuits, pumkin seeds, tomatoes, celery but am open to advice. I have started to snack on peanuts which are still in their shells. Takes a bit of time shelling them as I snack. I don't think this is a bad thing as my stomach has time to be fooled so I don't over indulge. My concern is that peanut might not be "good." Any advice on this and other snacks please.
Thank you and happy readings.

Hi Doug, peanuts are actually quite high in carbs as they are not a true nut.The favourite on the forum is macadamias which are low in carbs and very filling and delicious!!Another one to watch out for re carbs are caschews.I like pistachios, almonds, which are good for cholesterol and walnuts.

Hi Doug,

The popular snacks which will take the edge off your appetite without disrupting your blood sugar are things such as nuts (except cashews and peanuts), cheeses, sliced meats, green vegetables, eggs, olives and After Eight mints. Actually, I lied about the After Eights.

All the best,

fergus
