Sunbathing

So its lush weather so i decided to sunbathe but ong it was too hot so was only out there for 20 minutes i tested before and after it was a jump from 8.5 to 9.8 any ideas why ?? I thought sunny weather normally made insulin more effiecient i normally take less in the summer too so why the sugar bounce
