sunburn

I've just come back from holiday and got quite sunburnt. I hadn't put any cream on as it was dull when we went out and when I realised I was burning it was too late. Since I've been back my sunburn has been really sore and my forehead, around my eyes and my lips have swelled up and are really puffy, especially around my eyes. Is there something I can take or do I need to see a doctor? This has never happened before I was diagnosed diabetic and I have had worse sunburn than this and I was fine.

I don't think it has anything to do with diabetes.

Sunburn can be serious and should be treated just like any other skin burns.

You really do need to see a doctor, in extreme cases skin grafts could be needed.
Even in less severe cases the correct treatment can help prevent scarring and infection.

Get thee to the Dr's! Sunburn damage is cumulative - so even though this is a lesser instance, the previous damage that you did will still have an effect.
