Hi everyone,
I'm super happy and just want to share:
Diagnosed in February this year, I felt so lost and shocked. But I researched a lot, made connections and learned a lot.
Things have been improving more and more.
I've joined facebook groups, athletes with diabetes groups.
I wasn't able to find the same kind of connections in Korea, until I found a fitness instructor who is very open about her T1D. I got in touch with her and we started the first Korean group for T1d people interested in exercise on instagram - @Wholepeopleteam_Korea
I also found the Korean Society for T1 Diabetes and got in touch with them too.
I'm also helping to make an overview of the costs and insurance contributions towards cgms, sensors, pumps and supplies like test strips and make it more understandable and in English too.
Then I went to the hospital today and got my HbA1c results back:
Diagnosed in feb with 12.1%
down to 10.1 by March 6th
today, May 18th - 5.9%!!!
I'm so so so incredibly happy!!!
and to make things even better, when I got home, my PumpPeelz stickers for my Dexcom G5 and my RoadID bracelet arrived too!
Just an absolutely amazing day
Sorry, had to celebrate ^.^
