I'll start this by saying I've not eaten much today, other than a piece of toast for breakfast and a little salad with some grated cheese and a roll for a very late lunch.
There's a reason for this as I've had an extremely stressful day. To cut a long story short my Father-in-Law suffered a heart attack earlier today and didn't make it and passed away at home
Most of the day has been spent supporting my hubby and elderly Mother-in-Law so food has not been a priority.
I tested my blood sugar at 7pm and my reading was 5.8 (to date, that's the lowest it's been). As we didn't manage to do a food shop we got a curry from the indian and I had a chicken biriyani with korma style sauce, 1/2 a peshwari nan and a poppadom. I tested 90 mins later expecting my blood sugars to be high given the stress of today and what I'd eaten. They were 8.3 which according to the blood sugar checker on here is actually "Normal"!
Now, I don't plan on making a habit of eating indian takeaway regularly but was more than a bit surprised of the effect on my body!!!
