hi im new on this site.my aunt has been currently diagnosed with DM type 2. no one knew that shed had DM until we had her checked at a diabetes clinic 2 days ago. she was prescribed with insulin pens and an anti diabetic meds along with various medications that will treat her urinary tract infection, neuropathy and fatty liver. I have also asked about an x-ray and ecg since i am suspecting that she might be having PTB due to her apparent weightloss. Any one here who can give me advise on what to do in case PTB is confirmed.she has no symptoms at all however the doctor said to bring her tom to discuss the result of her x-ray.. please help me what to do since i am also taking good care of my mom who has copd..Will it be okay to let them stay together if aunt is diagnosed with ptb?what to do po?thank you

One step at a time. There are many reasons for weight loss- uncontrolled diabetes is one - so you may be worrying unnecessarily. I am not saying PTB is not a candidate. Just to wait and see. Sounds as if you already have plenty to cope with and your doctor is the best suited to advice on the best treatment for you and your family. Yes, don't forget about looking after yourself.
