I decided to do a glucose test yesterday, because I feel bad after eating. I have a condition called pots syndrome, which makes blood pool in the stomach after eating causing symptoms. However, after talking to other people with my condition it seems I might have other things going on.

Yesterday's readings after eating....

(6 hrs after last meal). Before I eat. = 5.1

30 mins after I eat. 90g carbs. = 9.6
1 hour after I eat = 11.9
1.5 Hrs = 10.7
Then 2.45 hrs after I eat= 7.7 (still not returned to basal levels)

Any thoughts? Should I speak to the doctor?

lol, no I typed that wrong , but it was 65g carb meal still a lot

I would think so. I can go above 9 if I eat more than 30g at one meal. I also find the higher the 1 hr reading, the longer it takes to return to baseline.

Ok, but I keep reading it shouldn't after meals go above 7.8 in the healthy population ? I read that on this site too.
So I will speak to my gp.

Sorry @Potsy , I misunderstood your use of "normal". So, to be clear - not normal if you're non-diabetic, but expected if you're diabetic and eating more than your personal carb threshold per meal. I assumed you were diabetic because you have a glucometer - very unusual for "normal" people to use them, so my mistake.

If you want to check your glucose tolerance, you could follow the instructions in this video:

If the tests give you cause for concern, the data might be useful to give to your doctor.

Thank you for the video link. Sorry I didn't explain myself better, brain fog is a speciality of mine.
I purchased a meter because I was so concerned about how I feel after eating and just felt something was wrong.

I've already been following a healthy diet the past month as instructed by my specialist, no wheat/gluten/sugar.
I was advised to eat this way because I have pots syndrome and blood pools in my stomach after eating,
I also have severe blood pooling in my arms and legs and worryingly read that poor glucose control can damage the blood vessels, which I have.

But despite the new diet I still feel symptomatic. Then I realised that I'm getting plenty of carbs in other foods. After I eat my heart pounds heavily, I shake badly and I get strong tingling in my head/face, arms and legs, feet/hands. I also can feel breathless & faint. The response I get to eating food can be so dramatic that I'm starting to feel afraid to eat.
However the past two days I've had strict carb control, under 15g per meal and I'm not triggered, which is such a relief. But I still get the weird tingling & dizziness now and then.

So back to me and my meter, I decided to eat something high carby and see what happens and that's when I got those results. The strange thing was I didn't feel symptomatic at that meal?
I spoke to my gp on the phone before I did the test and she said if it goes over 12 then we have a problem, but I got 11.9.
Once I get more sticks I will do further tests.
Anyway sorry for the long post and thank you for your help

that video was very informative indeed.
I have what he mentioned "autonomic neuropathy", my nervous system is faulty in regulating my heart/blood pressure/temprature and all autonomic bodily functions. Interestingly, my kidney function is lower than normal 62.
I last had a fasting glucose test 3 years ago which was normal. But never had glucose challange test before.
