hi there...im new here....after i have eaten, i seem to break out in a sweat. not very ladylike i know...its really starting to bother me. my bs is all over the place at the moment. though i was diagnosed 10years ago. im now beginning the low carb diet, but this sweating has been going on a while now....does anyone know why this is happening? thanks. i have type 2.

That might not be diabetes related. Don't know your age but my immediate thought was menopause, but something here doesn't quite add up when you say the sweating has been going on (presumably) longer than the erratic BS. To your GP I would suggest and good luck

I hope you don't mind us asking if you are peri/menopausal age? I think Mike may be on the right track here somehow, especially as bg is all over the shop ( what levels do you have, do you need to lose weight too?)

I got chucked head first into meno two years ago after Cancer treatment, although 49, I wasn't peri (levels had been checked). I'm significantly lighter now, size 14/16 down from 22/24 but if I eat anything the smallest bit sugary or carby (certain fruits/ little bit if pastry), I get slammed by flushes. The rest of the time I dont, just the odd few. I know for sure by doing some self evaluation that what I eat directly affects my meno symptoms. Does any of that sound familiar? Certainly worth getting anything unusual checked out too, to rule out any other causes.

If I am right, I will never live this down .....

i thought it may be this but i had an early menopause over 20 years ago. i did change meds a while ago but changed back due to the sweating..im now on glimipiride ...i changed to a tablet that made sugar come out through the urine...i think its best to make a double app with my diabetic nurse..and am sticking to the low carb diet as im having trouble with my eyes...already had one lot of laser treatment,,,,and looks like im heading for a repeat performance...so annoyed with myself....but time to take contrrol of it..better than i have so far, at any rate....thanks for all your advice guys....keep fighting the good fight!

Sounds like you are doing all that you can for the moment treelover. I really hope you have got a decent DH, keeping carbs low can only help with your bg levels. I can't help with the eye issues but wish you all the best and hope that you won't need further treatment.:)
