Hi all. As most of you know I have a slight kidney infection, have had numerous antibiotics and it hasn't gone. I keep sweating at night, even though the window is open and the fan is on. I don't even feel hot. I feel like I need the covers over me. I just woke up and my whole body is sweaty :( my bf has been fine. Anyone know why this is happening?

Have you tested your BG overnight @Chloesnavy? Sweating can be attributed to both hyper and hypoglycemia. Hyperglycemia is certainly a common symptom when infections are present. And hypos are also possible, especially if you've been upping your insulin doses to combat high BG's that we often experience during periods of illness.

There is also the possibility that you're sweating in the evening because of the infection itself, and it's unrelated to your BG and diabetes entirely. There's also the possibility that the antibiotics are causing your sweats?

This might sound daft, but hear me out... It could be something as simple as having too heavy a duvet. As we're starting to see the warmer weather arriving, have you considered a lighter duvet? We change ours coming into the warmer months, otherwise I sweat buckets at night. Apologies for that image:)

I hope your infection passes soon, I know you've been dealing with this for a long time.
