I’ve recently changed over from Levemir/Novorapid to Tresiba/Fiasp. I must admit it’s going well, in particular the fiasp at meal times behaves a lot better for me. My Hba1c is down to 6.4 from 6.9 and I’m pretty sure I can improve on that further.

The only thing I am finding is that it is a very fine line on the Tresiba dosage adjustment, for example 12.5units at 11pm can leave me running high at night and first thing, whereas 13units at 11pm will leave me pretty good or even lowish through the night. However, through the day mealtime fiasp needs to cut by say from 10 units down to 6 and in general I feel like I’m running a little low all the time. So, it feels like 13units Tresiba is too much but 12.5 is too little. I feel like the 13units of Tresiba is the best option, but it seems weird that this extra 0.5unit Tresiba will save me about 10-15 units of fiasp through the day and like I say leaves me feeling I’m in danger of running too low.

Any other people having similar experiences or any thoughts on this?

I just moved from Lantus/Novarapid to Tresbia/Apidra and it is beginning to settle in rather well.

Beware with Tresbia that if you make any adjustments it will take at least 4-5 days befrore it will be picked up and worked into your system, simply because Tresbia has a 42 hour operational window and will build up.

I was on 20 (split dose) of Lantus and now at the moment I am running 21.5 of Tresbia which suits me but I can and have dropped low during the night say 2.8, I have xDrip Alarms set so I get woken up :arghh: but the last couple of nights I have been running between 4 and 6 which is OK for me.

I might go down 0.5 or 1 unit but it will take a few days for it to work in to my system, it s along tweeking process :)
