Symptom help and advice

Hi I wonder if anyone can give me some advice? For four years I have felt unwell with symptoms getting worse over this period. Doc has repeatedly put it down to stress, anxiety, nerves, restless leg syndrome, etc but I have all the symptoms of type 2 diabetes and had every test going except this one. I am due to go back to docs this week for more answers but there is one symptom that doesn't fit which I'm hoping someone can tell me about.

I frequently wake up shaking, internal shaking with racing heart. It feels like all the nerves in my legs are alive and my heart races. All this happens for a couple of mins only till I am awake and breathing deeply. It can happen if I fall asleep in the day but is worse at night normally in the early hours. It happens frequently ie every night then nothing for a few nights or weeks then back again. Is this a symptom of type 2 diabetes.

I have read a few blogs on here and some sound very familiar so I have been monitoring my food/sugar intake and I find if I drink my usual 4 pints of water a day the jittering/shaking at night is minimised together with eating bananas, and other carbs before bed.

Apart from this odd symptom which is worrying I have the other symptoms of type 2 diabetes but guess my Gp will tell me to go away and that it's stress etc. I wanted some evidence to present to them and have considered getting one of those devices that measures your blood levels. I know it's not in my head. It's not stress or anxiety but theses symptoms are causing stress as I don't know what I'm dealing with.

Can anyone help or advise please.

Many thanks

HI Miss daisy

Ohh sorry to hear you got those terrible symtoms!
Have you have your bloods checked recently? Your doc seemed to take the easy road and blames everything on stress and anxiety :***:
Yeah all right. I reckon this is ok after he has ruled out thyroid, adenal gland , blood pressure, sleep apnoea and other bits and bobs i have no idea of.
As you probably know from my previous threats I have also weird symptoms and found at least a doc who tests me on several bits to check for the reason. Will see her thursday for results.
Hey miss daisy, sounds like u got a real problem there, see another doc. I dont know if your symptom is diabetic related but it sounds like some metabolic/ hormonal thing. I wish you all the best.
