I hope no one minds me asking what will perhaps seem a silly question, but because I was only diagnosed with T2 at the beginning of March, could someone tell me what the symptoms of a hypo are, because I'm not aware of having any, then again, if I have I may not have recognized it as such - thanks.

What med's are you taking?

Hypo is short for Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar. That isn't a concern for you unless you're on insulin (or to a lesser extent a sulfonylurea).

As far as the symptoms of a hypo, they're widely available online if you search this site or on Google. If we could, let's help @Horsewithoutaname first and then we can address your questions a bit better. Or, you can always start your own thread if you're curious and couldn't find your answer anywhere else.

Hi I am on Farxiga (dapagliflozin) 10mg daily, as the other drugs were no good for me, if this doesn't work the nurse/practitioner told me I could have an injection but it's not a daily one, it's a weekly one, but she doesn't at the moment think it will be necessary.

Thanks and I think you're right about helping them first. I'll come back to it perhaps another time.

Thanks for starting this thread for me, obviously, I'm still unsure how this forum works despite my reading, and i'm very familiar with the world of forums, but I will probably only post now and then. I've spoken to a professional who has told me, since I'm not on insulin I probably don't need to worry about hypos. I asked the question because I worked for more than 30 years alongside a woman who had Type 1 and recall her having to take injections and being fastidious about what she ate, and what would happen if she didn't do the things she was supposed to do, I think it has stuck with me.
