Hi all,
I've been type II for the past 6 years and im doing ok, no complecations yet (thankfully!) and im 42 years old.
Im one of 4 girls and only 1isnt a diabetic. My mum and grandmother were also both diabetic so i knew id get it eventually.
My HbA1c is 7.5 which pleases my specialist as he takes into account my other health problems and medications. :D
My question is does anyone else get nauseous when their getting too low?
Ive felt nauseous before but 2 days ago i was actually sick  and i just want to know im not alone.
Many thanks

Yes, it isn't fun, it doesn't make eating/drinking something with sugar in easy.
I was advised that lucozade eg a drink with lots of sugar is better if you think you might be sick again, they said the sugar was absorbed quicker that way.

Hi,

Your definately not alone in feeling sick when hypo, which as hlw says doesnt help when you have to consume something sweet and sickly to correct the hypo! I usually stick to glucose tablets and i tend to suck them if im feeling sick, i find that sometimes helps.

I get a feeling of hunger which prompts me to check my bg.
