Hello,

My GP has done a few A1c tests over the last 2 years which have been widely varying but confirmed in Sept 2024 with an A1c of 81.

Straight away they wanted me on meds but I told them no, that I’ll diet and exercise first.

It’s now been 3 months, diet changed and a weight loss of 4st 7lb (63lbs / 28.5kg) my A1c is down to a 38 with my GP but a 36 according to a private clinic. (Bloods both drawn about 20 minutes apart).

I guess I shouldn’t worry too much about the difference and just be glad in down a normal range.

Absolutely fabulous results @BPF :)

There will always be variations in tests as it depends on things like how they do the tests, where you get it done etc. just take the win that you’ve got into remission- keep up the hard work and you should stay there, well done :)

Not going to lie I was like a kid at Christmas when I saw the result. Good to see the hard work paid off.

I have to say changing my diet was harder than when I quit smoking 10 years ago.

The first 4 weeks nearly broke me. Thankfully I’ve found something that works. It’s boring but it works

A big congratulations on your result @BPF . All your hard work paid off.
