T1 Diabetes & High Blood Pressure

Hey, I'm 21 years old and have been a T1 diabetic for 10+ years now. I recently went for an annual health checkup at my GP and they were a little concerned because I had high blood pressure. They've told me to keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks (as we have a monitor at home) and to go back for a review if it stays high.
I have a healthy diet and exercise regularly, however my BG have been a bit all over the place recently due to versions reasons so I'm thinking perhaps this could be why?

Just wondering if anyone else has had high blood pressure before and wondering how they got it down and why they think they had it?

I had slightly elevated blood pressure about 3-4 years ago when I was 23-24 years old. Bottom line, I have an extremely stressful job and had to learn how to manage the work/personal life balance.

I'm not sure if that's what you're going through, but if you're very career oriented like I am it's definitely a source of possible stress.

For me, lifting weights and running is healthy beyond the physical benefits. It also helps tremendously with managing my stress levels.

Just a thought.
