T1 evening BGs

For a short while now I've had trouble with my BG inbetween dinner time & bed time. It maybe from the foods I eat, or my morning basal or the ratio I have between carbs & insulin?? I don't do much activity of an evening, just on the odd ocassion. Though eating & snacking doesn't help know & trying to combat this habit asap!!

I have Lantus as basal which I take at 9am & 10pm & Humalog as Bolus ratio being 1:10 during the day except morning 2:10.
Any help would be good thanks.

Hi @B583 - the only thing I can say is that I had this & my DSN had me on a totally different ratio in the eve. Whereas I was 1:19 at bf & lunch, I needed 1:14 in the evenings. Hope that helps - or splitting Lantus dose? Or basal testing? Regards

For the time being things have settled with raising so high of an evening. I think exercise & carb:ins ratio helps to give a little extra or go for walk after dinner. Thanks again to all
