T2 and pregnancy?

At 36 I've left the baby thing late in some eyes, however hubby and I have decided to try for a family. I was diagnosed as T2 in November 2010, albeit I am just into the diabetic zone. I've reduced my hb1ac levels from 6.1 to 5.9 in the first 6 months and lost 2 stone (still another 3-4 to go). I've been doing my homework and finding it really daunting, google likes to scare the bejeeze out of you :shock: Any tips, any personal experiences good or bad so I can follow or avoid? I know I need to loose more weight and watch the sugar levels but anything else I should do or look out for? thanks
