I am type 2 my average blood reading at home is 7.1 Last time I had blood test at the surgery and they told me my average reading is 36? . I am confused they told me this is a different measure of blood reading. Does anyone know how to convert my home reading to the Doctor's reading?

Welcome to the forum @sedadmahmoud. There are different ranges of blood glucose readings. The figure shown on your meter at home would be in mmol/L. The figure used by your gp surgery would be your HbA1c which is in IFCC.
You can convert your figures by using this online converter:
https://www.diabetes.co.uk/hba1c-to-blood-sugar-level-converter.html

The test done at the surgery, using blood taken and analysed by a lab, shows your average blood glucose over the previous 8-12 weeks, so it's a better indicator than the bg meter you use at home which shows a reading at that moment in time.
Your HbA1c of 36 (which would be an average of 6.0 mmol/L) is excellent.
Below 42 is non-diabetic, 42-47 is pre-diabetic, 48 and above is non-diabetic.
