Although I had already decided to leave the site (apparently I'm paranoid, so maybe I'm not diabetic at all) I stumbled upon this thread whilst searching for a previously aired documentary.

This man is hoping for contributions from young people with Type 2 diabetes.
I've seen a lot of concerns raised in this forum regarding test strip prescriptions, bad diet advice etc Its worth noting people under the age of 40 are highly unlikely to be screened for diabetes despite having an at risk ethnic background and therefore may have troubled obtaining proper diagnosis or go on deteriorating for years before diagnosis. This could be opportunity to present the role of genetics in T2 when obesity is not the (arguable) cause. I have passed on what concerns I could from others on this site because it's as good an opportunity as any, considering complaints about recent documentaries that failed to highlight the community's concerns.
I know there have been one or two T2s under 25 joined recently so this may be an opportunity for you to voice your concerns.
