T2s on insulin for steroids

I can understand how that could fry your brain. It'd certainly challenge my patience.

I don't have any wisdom to offer you, but just wanted you to knowyou're not forgotten.

Beware of the accuracy of the freestyle libre. My freestyle libre was giving false hypos overnight. I set my alarm and checked with a finger prick, every hour between 2 am to 6 am and found it was 2 mmol/l above what the libre was reading. Every libre is different. My new freestyle libre is overreading.
Good luck with your insulin-steroid journey.

It's probably the nature of the beast. I don't have ready access to the specialist nurse and don't see her until 22nd. Thought I had cracked it with a couple of days between 5 and 8, then it all went pear shaped.

Thanks, yes I always finger prick when it shows low.

Saw the Specialist DN on Monday and she is happier than I am with my numbers. If I take my eye off the ball, the steroids seem to take a grip and don't let go. This recent hot weather is also impacting numbers. Sometimes nothing makes sense.

I am getting better with using my alarm for checking, but often I don't catch it in time.

I have been told how to bolus for the odd illicit Chinese so not all bad news.
