Does anyone know anywhere or even just know the carbohydrates in different take aways? Just ordered an Indian and panicking because I've been trying to keep my BM down all week!!

depends what it is and how its cooked.

Things like rice you could guestimate by measuring out the spoonfuls. Its the sauces that is tricky.

nan breads or popadoms etc are probably listed in carb counting book. Problem is if it says medium nan - what is medium??

Try half a portion, test after eating and have a dance around house to help lower blood sugar levels :-)

Eating half a portion isn't an option for me, I'm starving!! Haha. Yea it's just the sauce I'm struggling with. Think il just have to guess and then check in an hour and correct... Thanks!!

average take away chicken curry is listed at 16g carbs and 447 cals
chicken masala 2g carbs and 284 cals per average serving.
chicken tikka 11g carbs and 369 cals pe av serving

rice per average seving-
long grain 56g carb
brown boiled 58g carb
fried 45g carb
savoury 47g carb

Hope that helps, enjoy your take away :)

Do you have Carbs & Cals app?

Maybe this will help a bit more than a wild guess, although you can never be sure what your takeaway will contain.
(Don't forget to add the rice too)

wow big difference between 44g carb in my book and 10g on your app Robert.

i think I can guess which most would want to be correct answer :-)

Best bet is to see how you BGs go and remember it for next time if you order from the same takeaway.
