Hi it’s my birthday tomorrow and i really want dominos pizza does anyone know how many carbs are in the pizza or a slice so I know what to injector!

Hello, do you have the app or book - carbs and cals? To give you an idea of the carb content. Do you know about split dose for higher fat/greasier foods?
 
Hi @Soph94 Happy Birthday for tomorrow

Have you had pizza and insulin before ? Pizza can be tricky to bolus for due to the fat in the pizza, so for me if I eat pizza and take the full bolus then about an hour or so later I'll go low, however if I split my bolus and take a third of my bolus as I eat it and 2/3's of my bolus about an hour to 2 hours later then I can improve my chances of handling the 'pizza effect'.

Just keep a close eye on your levels and correct where necessary and hopefully it won't spoil your birthday.

The UK nutritional information for Dominos can be found here in a PDF. It lists per portion which is whole pizza for Personal and per 3 slices for medium and large pizzas.

I'll echo the good advice above about potentially split dosing for their pizza. The fat content of a medium Meateor with classic crust is 40% of the carb content (29.6g fat/72.3g carbs per 3 slices) for an example.

Hi everyone sorry rubbish reply! I had a lovely birthday Thankyou now 25
the pizza didn’t go as well as I hoped tried to split it up but still ended up waking up at 2am with bloods 1.7 so I’m going to stay away from the pizza I think very hard to judge and didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would! To say I haven’t had pizza since turning type 1. Thanks everyone
 
Don't let it put you off. Have you attended a dafne course at all?
