Taking tablets Pre bowel X-ray

Have been told not to eat for 24 hours before bowel x ray can I still take diabetic medicine (tablets)

Have you been given a preparation to take prior to the x-ray? If you have, the accompanying leaflet should tell you the preparations for diabetics. If not, you should call the surgery or the x-ray unit at the hospital to check.

Thanks, no info with preparation and so far unable to contact X Ray or GP. Tried NHS Direct but 4 hrs wait
