Planning on hitting the tapas bars in Spain soon, but I'm trying to figure out what low carb drinks I can order. Oh, and I also have an alcohol allergy.....:bored: Any suggestions? Gracias in advance!

something a tapas bar is unlikely to make, veggie smoothies without beets or carrots

Basically, what I do is order different kinds of waters, sparkling or otherwise. Even if you only end up with Perrier or something else pedestrian, having a liter of something trustworthy and tasty is a nice accompaniment
Ha. I never considered asking for a smoothie. I think they may have diet soda and I have heard of a non-alcoholic grape juice drink that appears to have only three carbs (castillo de salobrena). I'll probably end up with agua plana. Thanks!

Well, it is grape juice drink with saccharine. There are plenty of traditional drinks, but problemo is that some of them are really high carb. Say you have some local cider. You will probably take a 35 carb hit for a glass of it.

I personally used to be almost addicted to tamarindo and that is 47 grams of carbs for only 3 ounces

But instead of the plain waters, you could be drinking some really interesting ones.
Ay yi yi (whoops, methinks that's a Mexican, not Spanish song) :singing:
