Fair amount meaning how many cups? But that's good news if your meter doesnt show any bg problems. Thank youAs a non coffee drinker, I drink a fair amount of tea.
I am convinced it did not cause my diabetes and appears to have no impact on my BG.
In general, I drink black tea with no milk but also drink green tea, red bush tea and herbal infusions. I have not noticed any impact to my BG with any tea.
I drink about 5 mugs a day although this is split between different types of tea.Fair amount meaning how many cups? But that's good news if your meter doesnt show any bg problems. Thank you
Very interesting - may I ask what green tea you drink with tumeric and roughly how many cups a day?Pre diabetes I use to drink "ordinary" tea with skim milk and sugar. plus various unsweetened herbal varieties. When I was diagnosed with T2 I switched to just the herbal ones so I could avoid skimmed milk & sugar, and have never had any issues with them. I now suffer from arthritis and read that green tea could help. It doesn't,- but instead it has actually noticeably reduced my glucose levels. I just use ordinary green tea bags, but currently with an added turmeric one which I found makes the green stuff more palatable!
I've also drunk decaff coffee for years, and still do, but now with cream and stevia drops and occasionally added cocoa powder for a sort of mocha, and have no problems with this either.
Mainly Tetleys green teabags, occasionally Twinings, and I add a Pukka turmeric gold one which I've drunk for years, and basically included on a whim, - not for any specific reason but it just helps the green stuff easier to get down! I usually have 3-4 mugs a day, usually with a meal but sometimes on its own. I've carried on drinking the green tea because I was curious to see if it actually has been this which is responsible for the changes I've seen. (Which are not quite logical as it's my pre-meal levels where I'm seeing these reductions!Very interesting - may I ask what green tea you drink with tumeric and roughly how many cups a day?
