If prediabetic members are testing using the Tee2 you probably know it gives averages for 7, 14, 30 and 90 days.

I'm coming up to my 5 weeks'ish time of testing so thought I'd post my averages. I have not tested at the same time every day or the same amount of times ever day mainly due to shift work. Some are fasting, some are post prandial and some are just random.

Here's my scores so far - and please feel free to comment if they are looking good, bad or ugly.

7 day = 5.6 14 day = 5.8 30 day = 6.0 and 90 day (although not been testing that long) says = 6.2

My original hba1c was 45 - not had any further tests for that yet.

Your figures look good but are not really meaningful due to your random testing. Why not write them down and make separate averages for fasting, pre-prandial, post-prandial etc. then you can average the averages to get an overall figure.

Although you have not been consistent with your readings the thing I notice with your averages is that the short term ones are lower than the long term ones. This means, obviously, that the readings are getting lower. This also means that you can expect an improved Hba1c. I hope you achieve this.

If you are familiar with spread sheets or similar, it is a good idea to record all your readings in columns with headings, such as "fasting" "before lunch" "2 hours after lunch" etc. Then average each column downwards. The way to test is to be consistent and you need to be able to learn from each test. Random figures tell you nothing. They need to relate to meals so you can see which meals are OK for you. If you can't use a spreadsheet a diary will do.
