tendons with type 2

Hi peeps how are you all.?
i have been type 2 now for about 12 years and i have been lucky so far but i have noticed some changes my achillies tendon on my foot has come up and i am now in a cast i have looked this up and they are saying it can be connected to diabetes.
i was wondering if anyone else had this problem please.
also what changes do i look for and how would i know if i am having a hypo please .
