Hi all. Just a quick question.
I’ve been invited to play tennis this evening, something I haven’t done in over 8 years .
I was just wondering how I should try and keep my sugar level up. I generally average around 6-6.8 but I’ve noticed that when I have a particularly heavy workload that can drop quite quickly. That’s not generally a problem at work because I take a quick break and have an apple or banana and then I’m good for the next couple of hours. But playing tennis is obviously quite a lot more intensive so can I drink Cola or something while I play to keep my levels at an acceptable level? (I’m type 1 by the way and in relatively good shape)

You could try Cola but I would find that would cause a spike and be detrimental to the tennis.
If you are happy drinking, I would recommend replacing water with a weak fruit squash. You can dilute it as much as you want and drink it throughout the game.
Keep your hypo treatment close to hand and, if you start feeling hypoish. take a BG read and correct.

Thanks, I hadn’t thought about fruit juice ‍♂️. I’ll give it a go
