Hi all, was just wondering how do you dispose of your testing strips, TIA x
 
I just throw mine in with the normal rubbish
 
when one tub is empty I put my used strips in it when it is full I close the tub and then I chuck it in the bin.
 
used ones from Acc-chek i put in old drum then DISPOSE of them in a SHARPS BIN ..
REMBER THEY ARE BLOOD SAMPLES VERY TINY but like this virus who knows how it is spread ???

The NHS blood donation service do not check donated blood for Covid 19 as they say there is no evidence that it can be transmitted by blood donation.
 
I put tissues and wipes that have been used to mop up blood into the bin, as well as used plasters, tampons and pads.
Obviously if you have an illness that can be passed on via blood then dispose of them in a way that poses no danger to other people.
