Is there a knack to extracting just one test strip? My hands aren't too good any more (injury and arthritis) and I really struggle with it. To misquote Ogden Nash: "When you open up the bottle, none'll come and then the lot'll".
I'm no better off. I have a Optium Neo meter, so the teststrips come in individual foil packets that are supposed to be torn open. I think I am going to have to carry scissors around with my testing kit. My hands just can't do it any more.

If a change of meter could be an option the accuchek mobile has a cassette, not strips. On opening the cover the cassette cycles round to the next testing “zone” and you dab that against the blood drop. (It is a bit of a different knack) No pots, no strips, no constant disposal needs. And the lancer is attachable to the unit. As can a Bluetooth adaptor be if you should choose. The cassettes aren’t cheap though.
I have transferred my test strips to a small plastic container so my fingers have room to pick one up. As I understand it, the test strip isnt sterile, so any airtight clean container will do the trick.
I found Abbott strip containers to be the worst of all the strips I have used, Accu-Chek, Contour have been the best for getting a finger in to get one.
With Abbott you had to shake them out a little bit.

LOL! I have the same problem; same with Ketone strips. I think the manufacturer might supply a pincher of some sort. I drop the whole batch evenly near the edge and pick one out nimbly. It's tricky, I agree. You might find something in your desk that can do the job.
