Hello and welcome,

Well it sounds like you already know when to test so you've already got a start.

I'm going to post a link below that might be a great thing for you to read while you are waiting for the results:

https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/blog-entry/the-nutritional-thingy.2330/

Read around the site while waiting- it will provide lots of information. You may also want to start testing before meals and 2 hours after and recording what you ate- in particular the amount of carbs you ate. I suggest trying a few very low carb meals and see what they do to your levels. I have found the lower the carbs the better the result. I have gone very low carb though to be honest the last couple of days have been higher than usual. But today- all the treats have been eaten (yes I ate all of them!). so it's back on the straight and narrow again.

If your levels are high after a meal- try a walk- you don't need to be exercising madly but a walk can be good for your levels and your mental health. Some of us find that higher levels can also have emotional side effects. And for me- someone to whom 'treats' were my go to method of stress relief it can be a dangerous path. So don't beat yourself up about the level- go for a walk and hopefully tomorrow you will get the results and let us know.

Good luck and I'm looking forward to you posting your results tomorrow and even better results in a few months time.
