Hi all I'm terrible at remembering to test regularly and can't use alarms cause i never have any set pattern in my life so breakfast may be at 5am or anytime upto 11am and rest of my day is anyone's guess. What would be your best suggestion to remember to test and inject?

Out of interest how do people who have diabetes and something like altzimers test?

I know it's tough... but the best thing that has worked for me is routine. As soon as I was diagnosed I pushed myself to get into routine with eating and testing. I kept a food diary and I recorded all my BGL's and activity levels. My endo's I've had over the years have always told me it is important to test the same time every morning for fasting BGL to get a good idea whether things are working or not. So I've pretty much stuck to that. I set my alarm so it repeats the same time every day and I'm up and testing first thing and then going through my routine. If I'm still too tired, then after I've done what I need and if I'm able to I head back to sleep. That I know isn't advisable for most... but I'm dealing with multiple chronic conditions and I literally crash every couple of days and don't function too well.

You may be able to think of other ways.... but really it's up to you how you manage it. But for me it was routine that helped a lot and if I'm out of routine I find I'm not the best with managing diabetes then as I'm having to guess more, etc. As it turns out routine has also worked for some other meds I need to take for other stuff. If I don't take them on time my body lets me know about it.

I wish you the best. :)
