Yes others do get queried over testing and a lot have quite a battle to obtain their strips.. I
I've had problems in the past, but my consultant soon sent a letter to my GP on my behave, and I do regularly have to battle the 'Prescription Manager' who seems to think that 50 strips a month is suitable and adjusts my prescription accordantly...
So it's a case of fighting your corner, taking a print out of the information surrounding the tests you are doing during your racing/training, and pointing out the dangers involved on the track if your ability to concentrate is effect either by a low or high blood glucose level..
Not sure telling them, BMX racing is a blood bath at the best of times, with some very seriously high end injuries involved, but just that on lapse of concentration can lead to a pretty nasty injury...
My friend was a pro stunt rider back in the 90's early 2000's, and the list of injuries he sustained, he's going to feel them again when he's get old and arthritic...
