I was out last night and had my tea, had the correct insulin, 3 diet cokes, danced for 2 hours to blur and my BS was 13 which at the moment is very high for me as I very prone to having hypos as I am pregnant. The only thing I can think of is that may be a diet coke wasn't a diet coke. I must admit I am not good at telling the difference and was wondering is their anything on the market which you can use to dip in your drink to test for sugar, a bit like ketostix???

Hi

Get yourself some Clinistix either online or through chemist. These were used years ago now to detect glucose in urine but can also be used to test diet drinks for sugar.

Good idea!
dip your drinks with clinistix.
Good luck with the coming small person

If you drink draught coke it's a hit or a miss whether you get diet or full sugar coke. Best to stick with bottled diet drinks.

Like the last person said it`s hit and miss, The reason is,
The person behind the bar will press DIET COKE, BUT you still get what is left in the pipe in your glass before the diet comes through. The ammount you get is down to how long the tube is of course.
This caught me out once, never again I always have bottled now.

Just one more thing if you want to know the amount of sugar in coke buy a normal tin and a diet tin and just let them drop into a bowl of water and see how fast the full fat one sinks, the diet will float,
It`s not even sugar it`s corn syrup which is stronger than normal sugar.
